Andrew May, coincidentally an avid studier of shares, married Tiffany in 1987 - the daughter of Kenneth (Ken) Stirling. Ken happened to be the Company Secretary and one of the directors of Samin Ltd, the largest holder of Poseidon NL shares. Andrew never had the chance to meet Ken as Ken died in 1973 at the age of 38, leaving behind a wife, son and daughter.

Having already a flair for shares and access to ample information about Poseidon and further backed by extensive conversations with family, those employed by the company and investors, Andrew decided to embark on the journey of writing about Poseidon. The people. The shares. The company. The story.

Andrew has also written two other books - The Mechanical Genius, John Frederick May Genius Volume 1 & 2. This is a factual series that reflects great Australian history. It is about a man and his company whose innovations and patents changed the efficiencies and effectiveness of mining and agriculture, through the machinery that he designed, which was adopted globally. This man also happens to be the Great Great Grandfather of Andrew.
